The Purple Jackets candidates are recommended by their teachers and selected to represent our school as hostesses and ambassadors for various events during the year.    The girls receive this honor because they have demonstrated scholarship, excellent citizenship, a positive attitude and dependability. They are role models to their peers at BentonMiddle School.   As a service organization at BMS, the Purple Jackets help with Open House, Academic Assemblies, Sixth Grade Orientation, BMS School Store and other activities as requested by BMS staff or administration.    In the area of community service, Purple Jackets visit Shriner’s Hospital and work with children who are in need of assistance.   The Purple Jackets are a busy and productive bunch!
